McHenry County’s senior population is growing, but services and costs are not keeping pace. Sheryl will prioritize affordable, accessible elder-care options and smarter coordination of county resources so seniors can age with dignity and stability.

Family caregivers provide essential, unpaid care that saves the county millions while often receiving little support. Sheryl will advocate for caregiver assistance programs, better information access, and county policies that recognize and reduce caregiver burden.

Access to comprehensive, affordable women’s health care is foundational to strong families and communities. Sheryl supports county policies that protect access, promote preventive care, and address disparities in health outcomes.

Local agriculture strengthens the county’s economy, food security, and land stewardship. Sheryl will support policies that help family farms remain viable, reduce regulatory friction where appropriate, and encourage sustainable agricultural practices.

Growth should strengthen communities without sacrificing quality of life or fiscal responsibility. Sheryl supports development that is environmentally responsible, infrastructure-aware, and aligned with long-term county needs.
